How Pricing Works

The number is the sum of its parts

Most jewelry is priced by category — a ring costs what rings cost. We price by material instead: the actual weight of gold or platinum in your setting, plus the diamond you selected, plus the work of making it.

Change the metal from 14K gold to platinum and the price moves, because the material moved. Nothing is quietly rounded up to land on a nicer-looking number.
